Events

We are living in a time where fuel prices are rising and oil reserves are at a low. It is important therefore to develop skills within communities which enable us to work toward a more sustainable future.
The workshops which we run offer a variety of fun, informal yet informative days where people of all ages and backgrounds can learn more about herbal medicine and holistic therapies in practice. All workshops can be tailored to suit the needs of the group and timescale it is intended for.
Clare is also available to deliver talks to groups or organisations who are interested in finding out more about herbal medicine. An example of this was a productive day delivering talks on Complementary therapies and ointment making workshops for 3 groups of secondary school pupils as part of the annual 'Health day' event at Tobermory High School on the Isle of Mull in 2009. Talks to support groups such as Parkinson's UK can also be arranged.

Hands on Herbal Tent![]() For the past three years I have been working with herbal first aid at festivals and events. This group of herbalists and first aiders use a combination of orthodox first aid, herbal medicine and other therapies to provide health care to festival goers around Scotland.
A fellow Herbalist, Catriona Gibson and I set up 'Hands on Herbal tent', initially launched on a donations basis at a small festival in June 2011. We plan to expand this to service small festivals around the UK. We provide herbal medicine information, on site herb walks, workshops (see below), a small library and a comfortable space to relax and discuss all things herbal! If you would like to know more about the work we do or to discuss bringing the Hands on Herbal tent to your event please contact us. |
